a four-song demo in disguise, this album was recorded and released in self-imposed haste. the "five love songs" suite on the back half of the album was salvaged from an early attempt to write a musical adaptation of the six flavours of quarks. if you've been following along -- or you intend to, anyway -- you'll know how that worked out in the end.
